ASHFORD KENT REMEMBERING THE WAY IT ONCE WAS UK
Welcome to the landing page of Ashford Kent Remembering the Way It Was UK, a private Facebook group.

The Reverend Joe Ellis established the Facebook group on September 28, 2014, and it currently has thousands of members.

In the late 1960s, Joe's family moved from Bethnal Green, East London, to Nine Acres, Kennington, where he attended Bybrook and the Towers School.

Joe routinely shares old media, images, films, press clippings, and much more.

He is enthusiastic about the group and believes that each member not only feels a part of it, but also owns a portion of it. He also believes in the absence of rules, the promotion of mutual respect, and the avoidance of advertisements.

Joe also believes that members should not have their posts reviewed before publishing and should be able to post freely on the group.

Long-time members of the group will know from their experiences there that Joe does not participate in rudeness or fights with other members, and he believes it is best to refrain from making comments against others, whether within the group or against members of rival groups. Furthermore, Joe believes that no one, including himself, should sit in judgement over others.

There are only two other highly regarded admins in the group. They're Brian Rix and Libby Ellison. Libby is Joe's personal assistant for religious activities.

Join the group and experience Ashford, Kent, as it once was, with so many thousands of other people. You won't regret it!
